sorry guys....thanks for your earlier replies. ok......i have not problem downloading video or mp3 files its downloading actual programs such as quicktime itself or the new windows media player. i do have only a 56k modem however when i used to have quicktime i could watch tings perfectly.....i deleted it cause i couldnt download windows media plyer itself because the computer kept using quicktime to download actual programs.....that doesnt work does it? i have tried what u told me to do but i still cannot download anything because now that i have deleted quicktime.....i get a message saying "please download quickime first"!!!??? im confused.......there is so much cool stuff on ur site that i want to download....

Go to START then WINDOWS UPDATE. The latest Mediap Plaey should be listed in the stuff you can update. Try that.
Also go to your PROGRAM FILES folder and look for the Quicktime folder in it. Delete it.
