If Israel had "won" its incursion into Lebanon they probably would have been able to showcase the firearms and weapons they would have captured as proof they went into Lebanon for a reason.
If Israel has difficulty with its incursion into Lebanon, then doesn't that also prove that the reason they went into Lebanon was to weaken a potent foe?
I'm not taking sides, but in a strange sort of way, it seems Israel wins no matter what the outcome is even though at the moment it looks like they don't have public favor on their side.

I just happened to read that it's spelled Hezballah, as in allah, but that the Western press seems to have changed the spelling.
