I just got my camera in the mail (canon auto zoom 518 sv) and I have a few questions about it. First, I'm pretty sure it has a light meter, but I'm not sure how to use it. There's a dial on the left side toward the top that looks like it goes from 0 to 50. There's also a meter inside the viewfinder that ranges from 1.8 to 32 and is labeled F.O.
Second, I keep reading about different filters, how do i install one on my cam?
Thanks for your help,

0-50 meter shows how much stock you've used in feet.
Light meter is automatic. needle inside adjusts to the light, showing you how open the apperture is from 1.8 open to 32 very small. If no reading, not enough light to render an image.
There is a daylight filter already in the camera. You need a square metal key with a 3/4 inch (ish) hole in it, called a filter key, which ge=oes in the top for if you want to shoot in artificial (tungsten) light. In daylight, with Kodachrome, no key needed.
