Ouch. Since the seller had her information so terribly wrong, I wonder if your friend could get her money back? But, if she's happy with the doll I suppose that's what is important.

A woman i work with just told me that she paid 190.00 for an AG doll at a town wide yard sale last weekend. Her doll is Kaya in so so shape and the lady is trying to sell her to me for 250.00. I told her i already have 2 Kayas but i don't have the heart to tell her how badly she was ripped off. The seller told her Kaya was a LE doll from 1991 and worth over 1,000. Just last week i gave this lady a catalog and i don't know how she missed all the pages that feature Kaya. I feel bad for her.
That has got to hurt. I have been too quite a few yard sales where the people were selling dolls claiming they were American Girls and asking steep prices. If you were not that familiar with them you could ended u p with a bunch of knock offs for AG prices.
