How the hell am I supposed to take my kids anywhere this school break when it keeps pouring down with rain? Everytime we go to go out, the heavens open! [img]mad.gif[/img]
I need some ideas of things to do indoors, that only require a minimal exposure to the elements (e.g walking to the station, getting on a bus etc.). Any thoughts?
The only thing's I can think of are Cinema, play areas( I think your children are older aren't they though) Swimming or rent a dvd for them.
Sorry not to be much help. Unfortunately stuff at leisure centres have to be booked in advance I think. But you could try phoning and seeing if they have places available. Also those things cost money and if like me you have a budget and more than 1 child it can be expensive.
I'm having the same problem on the crappy old Isle of Shite!!! Weather is awful, and I've got the kids whining to go and run up and down the moats at Carisbrooke Castle, which I promised them they could do in the hols so it HAS to be done within the first couple of days in my kids eyes. [img]mad.gif[/img] I'm half tempted to let them purely for the giggle factor of watching them go sliding down the moats at high speed, but then common sense kicks in and the thought of spending hours sat in casualty with broken bones and whinging children isn't too appealing!!
My suggestions would be the cinema, swimming or a wacky warehouse kind of place if you have one near you
Sorry I can't think of any other suggestions other than those that have already been made. Maybe a trip into London to visit say The Tower of London or something like that if you can dodge the showers long enough [img]smile.gif[/img]
I'm quite lucky atm, cos Laura's busy revising for her exams in between resting with being tired etc and Robbie just spends literally all day up at the Golf Club practising. When the showers come down he just dodges into the Club House for a drink and some chips [img]tongue.gif[/img]

AJ is supposed to be revising for his end of year exams but I think that he's probably just sitting in his room, staring into space! [img]graemlins/sure.gif[/img] *lol*

There's a great swimming pool in Woolwich with a huge 'snake' slide - you prob know of it (Waterfront Leisure)
I go there with my friend who lives in Bexleyheath - that's not too far from you is it?
