Hi,
Someone very kindly helped me out with a copy of the tokyo vcd....
however it plays on my PC but not on my dvd player.
its a pretty good one (sony DAV-550) with surround sound etc....and the instruction manual says that it does play VCD's but all i get is "cannot play disc"
Wot do i do? is there anything i can do to the files on the disc on my pc?

You could try re-burning it with your own discs and software. I've had the same problem with vcds and dvds. Something that plays fine on someone else's player may not work on yours. Ultimately it was trial and error for me until I found what worked.

i had the same Sony DVD player and ditched it because it would not play Vcds, it SAYS it will but it comes up errors.

i tried copying it to hard disk and it was listed as a BIN and CUE file....
the video CD program only wanted to copy MPEG files and i cant convert.
can you put the BIN and CUE files onto a DVD?
The .bin-file is the (image-)file itself.
The .cue sheet just tells the burning software what to do with the .bin-file. (It contains all necessary settings to burn the .bin properly)
Open the .cue sheet with your burning software (CDRWin, Nero and some of the others can handle .cue sheets) and try to burn it that way.
