The Chick Corea Elektric band return with their first studio recording since "Beneath The Mask" in 1991. Chick Corea composed all of the music inspired by the science fiction novel "To the Stars," by L. Ron Hubbard. The music takes you back to the glorious days of Return to Forever. The Elektric band is back with a vengeance, they've been away too long! Chick Corea, keys, piano; Frank Gambale, guitar; Eric Marienthal, sax; John Patitucci, bass; and Dave Weckl, drums. Guests: Steve Wilson, sax; Pernell Saturnino, percussion; and Gayle Moran Corea, vocal choir.

Yeah I've had this new Corea for a while now (mp3) - and it's like cheese with chops, as usual.
I still prefer the "akoustic" (or was it "acoustik") band MUCH, MUCH MORE!
Hopefully there will be a second solo Colaiuta album out before NEXT September. That would be a nice birthday surprise!
