Well my AC is working again, at least. Stupid AEM intake (or stupid installer ?)
NOW it sounds like I have some trans bearing damage (groaning/grinding noise goes up n down with RPMs, stops when clutched in) (the shifter pops out a bit too readily between shifts sometimes) and the fluid freshly changed, now what ?
Looks like a (remanufactured ?) tranny is in my future if so, is there any advantage to a GSR or TypeR tranny for my setup ?
While its all apart, is this the right time to go for the ClutchMasters Stage III and Quiafe that I've been day dreaming about ? How much money does it cost/save ?
Thanks all.

I would go ahead and put in a high performance clutch and the Quaife at the same time!

Well,
LS Tranny's are fairly available in the aftermarkete/salvage world and can be had for around 500 bucks.
Might want to shop around for one before you go spending 2000 on fixing the one you have now.

and... maybe a lightened flywheel ?
clutch = ~500
quaife = ~800
flywheel = ~300
trans = $ ??? can t seem to find a place on the web to give me a guideline price ?! very annoying to say the least. Only place i found was sohfast.com
How much to install all this mess ?
I assume there are certain economies in doing it all at the same time. Is getting the GSR box worth it ?

Just for sake of arguement...
I happen to have a freshly rebuilt '95 LS transmission on the shelf.
Maybe you should call me and we can work out a package price !!!
heheh
