I'm getting an average download time of about 30 seconds, as opposed to 3 seconds on Greenspun. I know the gizmos and cutie faces have something to do with it, but it could also be that the avatar images are taking longer to download. Would it go much faster if we get rid of those and just go by names?

Yeah, I'm already depressed over the avitar thing. I mean, all the ladies have found ones that are, I'm sure, almost photographic images of themselves, so I thought I'd go see what was available for a swell guy like moi. Turns out the one of Elmer Fudd in sunglasses is really close.
