Here is my situation: I would like to do double track recording (record a serpeate track and merge later with my film) I do not plan on dubbing, what equiptment would anyone recommend I use? Also, after I record I want to sync the audio on my computer (I will have converted the film to video) So I will be using a video in-card to capture the audio, will this work?

Tarman, the following product was recommended to me by another on this board (lightfeat). It is the Fostex MR-8, an eight track digital multitracker. Being digital, your sound clips should transfer to your NLE directly in a fashion similar to firewiring DV. (Please chime in, anyone on this board who has used a digital recorder for your sync sound projects, then transfered to your NLE). The Fostex MR-8 retails for around $300 or there-abouts. Based on my cursory research on this product to date, it appears that it will more than adequately handle my need for double system recording (when I make that leap) Here is the link:
