well met with the other lawyer tonight

he says there's really not a whole lot I can do with what they've done. he said to stay with the lawyer that is working on the work comp, but be carefull it doesnt screw up the disability insurance. seems they're quick to drop you if they think you can make money another way. or at least take that out of what they pay. hell, 60% of my pay is a pretty nice cut, but it beats being out completely.

no one can believe that the dept didnt even call and tell me I was fired. we were able to get them to reinstate the health insurance for at least a month. seems they figured out that they cant just cut me off. they claimed it was the insurance co., then blamed the secretary and pushed it off on the medical officer. bunch of liars and chickenshits.

at first they werent gonna pay me vacation time and sick days (only give you 30 bucks for each sick day), but again found out they couldnt do that, so that'll help.

Amazing what a waiting game and fight it is to get what you work for and put money into in case this happens.

always think you'll get to retirement, get a retirement party and a "gold watch", lol, never think you'll have to find out from a secretary youre fired. lol, hell, McDonalds will at least give you that respect!

sooo I have at least one more day for confirmation, but the lady said it will be approved. didnt call to tell me for sure, but maybe tomorrow.

I dont count on anything until its right in front of me. especially with this stuff.

hell when I was at the doctor's office today and told him more about this, he was ready to go kick some ass! he's almost like a good friend more than a doc. its his lawyer we went to talk to and he called him while I was making the visit at his office for my check up and meds! He's been the only doc to ever help with the pain in my back, as much as can be.

the other lawyer says if they can go through with the work comp without jeopardizing the disability, it might take two years or more to get a settlement! [img]eek.gif[/img] man the wheels turn slow for work comp I guess.

hopefully, it'll all turn around and nothing else bad will happen.

I know the secretary when I talked with her today, said more news stories are going to come out about the corruption of the union and the service around here and that the Feds have been investigating for more than a year! might be more shit to hit the fan for the ones with the power!

I actually saw a thing on the news the other night about firefighters and corruption!

Now, I doint know much about work, but, I thought you have to tell a person they're fired???

I've learned the hard way by having hopes smashed to pieces after getting them up. never feel completely secure until its all done and I know it cant go wrong anymore. sad way to live, but I've been through too much to have it happened again.
