Today, on my way home from work, my shifter started to act funny. From a lack of a better discription, in the imortal words of Fatbastard, "It was all Squinchy". Going from gear to gear it made a weird sound like ruber all bound up, and the shifter was warm. The soud it made and felt was like rubber rubbing metal and it came from the shifter itself. Any thoughts?

yeah, look under the car and check the shifrter linkage at the tranny and at the shifter pivot point.
