Elektric Band website!

Theres a website for the new elektric band album which is really nice. There are some pictures, comments, and a really nice video w/ interviews w/ all the elektric band members. The video shows Chick and the band recording the new album in the studio and shows the "whole" process of the new recording. Its really interesting!! I know that some of you guys are not a big elektric band fans but its really inspiring to see Dave and the rest of the band inside the studio.

I do wish he'd have picked another inspiration than the embarrassingly tedious ramblings of that ultimate snake-oil merchant Hubbard. His science, his religion, and his writing are all beyond bogus, somewhere off in the realm of the truly cringe-worthy. I find it intellectually offensive that a reasonably sane human could take that garbage seriously, let alone build their life around it.

Everyone's got a worldview, a system by witch we interpret/understand reality (how we live, where we're from, where we're heading, etc). For me, looking at Chick's worldview (scientology), with respect, simply re-emphasizes the importance of being able to discriminate between all the junk that can be found out there, since NOT all can be true...

I really don't pay that much attention to the Hubbard stuff, all in all I really like the new album...a couple tunes have a "Weather Report" vibe to them.

Sometimes I wish Marienthal would break out a little more...but the rest of the band is kickin.

I'm wondering if Chick is bugging his musicians to enter the Scientology sect. The scientology church downtown here used to bug EVERY pedestrian that walked in front in a questionable manner.
