Hey guys,
How low are you able to set the atmosphere pressure with JR FMU? At 6psi on the stock injectors (~240cc), I'm guessing that I'll need to set the FMU at roughly 56 psi.
However, I may very soon install some 290cc injectors (~20% more flow). To compensate, I'll need to reduce the FMU pressure to about 45 psi. Is this gonna be doable?
I already have the AEM FPR to allow me to lower my idle pressure.

What fuel pump do you have? Even w/ a big honkin' one I don't see a problem with the AEM.

I have the Walbro GSS342. The AEM does not let me adjust fuel pressure at atmosphere (0 psi). The FMU has to do that. I need to know how low the FMU will let you go.
Thanks,

I think the closest any of us has ever gotten using the JR supplied POS was 40-45ish using the Vortech or B&M regulator.

Tomorrow night I will be removing the OE FPR and replacing the injectors with Venom 320's.
I'll post how low the pressure will go with only a Cartech.

Actually, I just did it.

I only tested it at idle, no test drive. No leaks. Before, fuel pressure was 52psi idle, 64psi static. It's now 35psi idle, 55psi static.
Sounds like a safe place to start tuning from. I'll open the bleeder up a bunch tomorrow for a test drive.
I think a 25-85psi range will be good for 10psi. I'll work towards that.
I've lost my restrictor, so I'll likely be stuck rich until I get a replacement. (Paging Doctor Helbing...)
Rafe: If you're listening, what FP's are you at now? Thanks.

310 RC's no OEM regulator ... idle pressure is 25-30 ... WOT pressure is around 55-60 ...three green bars at WOT .. no tip in problem ... only running Cartech FPR

lostsol and blwncvc: What boost on what engine are you running?
Thanks,

i have a b16 from a 99si and boost is about 9 psi. i also have the 342 pump and str fuel rail. i have not noticed any detonation with 13 degrees of timing. i alos have no a/c or p/s.
