I live in Canada, and was wondering if it's true that if you send exposed k40 directly to switzerland, the whole process will be faster? by a great deal? rather than sending it to toronto.
i forget, do i have to pay for shipping and handling for on the way back?
thanks

Jeffrey,
If you have wheels, drive out to Kodak in Burnaby and drop off your film their. They will mail it to Switzerland, and when it arrives back (2-3 weeks ??) you can pick it up from them. This is what I did a year ago and they should still offer this service. Maybe phone ahead of time to be sure.

You live in BC?!? cool!!!!
What are your sources? For like... film, cameras, equipment, and stuff?
I don't have wheels, but I have a bus pass. Hopefully skytrain might work, or I can get a ride somehow.
Is there any charge to get them to send it out and stuff. I never thought of that. That's a great idea!
Thanks!

Jeffery,
You can try Leo's Camera supply store downtown for super 8 cameras and film. They have some of the better models (Beaulieu, Nizo etc.) They are very helpful too. A bit pricey. If your on a small budget, check out the Vancouver Flea Market at Main/Terminal. Last I checked there were a few stands full of Super 8 gear. Best bet too is going around pawn shops downtown. Bring some batteries because sometimes it's good to check out the motor on the camera or projector. Also ebay.ca for stuff. I have gotten a few cameras and editing equipment by finding a seller from Van.
When I used Kodak Burnaby they didn't charge for the shipping. I think they have a lot of other things to ship to Switzerland on a weekly basis. They should let you know the day it goes out when you drop it off, and later call you to pick the film up.
Good luck!
Ross
