I am about to start producing a sitcom aimed at the BBC weekend evening slot. The series revolves around a misogynist, closet-gay haemophiliac dubbing editor and a high-heeled, martial-arts and big guns wielding female mob hit-woman. Both are forced to live together as they haven't checked their contracts properly when moving into a prime location flat in central London. Their paths always cross at the most inconvenient of times during their working and private lives, resulting in much acrimony. And then there's that 6f7i furniture wrecking, builder-impersonating wannabe Terminator, wanting to take them both out...
The two main characters required are as follows:
1) Male / Any Ethnicity / Aged 25-44, build and looks not crucial but ability to do farcical slapstick is. Must be agile.
2) Female / Aged 25-44 Years / Any Ethnicity Attractive, tall (5f9i+) lady required to play cold-blooded hit-woman. Must be agile, martial arts / gymnastics / ballet experience a definite plus
Duration: Auditions are on Saturday, 21-Feb-04, from 08:00 a.m. onwards in central London
Shooting for the pilot will be two days on a weekend, most likely the 29/30-Feb-04.
Payment: Non-equity actors preferred. For the pilot, I will initially reimburse transport costs as well as provide decent meals and drinks. A show reel will be given to the actors at the end of the pilot production f.o.c. Should the series be accepted I will try to get the same actors who starred in the pilot to go for the entire shebang (initially six episodes) - but this time with a proper contract and payment.
