So out of curiosity has anyone figured out how fast Vinnie is, as far as singles go?

Friend of mine pondered this outloud the other day...

That's a difficult question. In order to figure out something like that, one would have to sit Vinnie in a room with a drum and prompt him to play as fast as possible. Who can say whether or not the singles he does on records are at his peak speed?

I'd say 32nds at (1/4) 185 or so judging by the solos i have...

Hmm thats not saying much for the world record, 32nds at 137(ish)bpm. I myself can play 32nds at 135 just dandy... and I ain't got the hands Vinnie does..

actually the record is like 32nd notes at 145bpm for a minute long. i highly highly doubt that you can play 32nds at 137 for a minute long. many people can do it for 5 seconds like you. [img]smile.gif[/img]

are you insane? 32nd notes at 185bpm is 1480 strokes a minute. the world record is a little over 1100. i'm pretty sure he ain't that fast.

actually, i don't know. maybe you are the fastest drummer in the world. who am i to say you're not.
