Shelves discussion.

Just like most people, I use shelves for my displays of action figures.

I've always disliked using the bottom shelves. They get dirty quicker and are harder to see. Besides putting books and magazines down there, I haven't figured out a better solution.

I think in my next house, I'll have built in wall shelves, but what to do with the space from the floor to the 2.5 - 3' mark? My first thought is to put cabinets with doors there (like you would see in a kitchen).

What do you do?

I keep my figures MOC so I don't use shelves.

The cabinets with doors sounds good. Maybe get doors with glass fronts so you can still display figs.

I stick all the bigger MOC boxes on the lower shelves, and the opened stuff up higher.

I know what you mean though...I hate that the stuff on the bottom isn't as visible. The only reason I have anything on the bottom shelves is because it looks stupid bare!

yeah, my bottom shelves all have the doors-
that space is perfect for all my old record albums~

One of the best options I've seen is to buy shop fitting shelves from stores that close down or renew their outlets.

Sometimes if you're lucky you can get ones with already built in lights and glass cabinets at a very cheap price.

I've never been lucky finding store shelves.
