Just got my racing seat and the sliders that come with it (universal) are crap. They don't fit (what a surprise). Anyone have any idea how to install them in a 6th gen hatch? Here is a pic of the bottom of the seat. The red circled is where the sliders should be mounted on.

What kind of seat is it ??? Also, it should also have a set of plates to adapt from the mounting holes in the bottom of the seat to the slider tracks. Keep in mind that you will not be complete at this point... you will still need a custom mounting bracket to bolt the whole assembly down to the floor of the car.

It only came with sliders [img]frown.gif[/img] So I guess I'll have to make a set of plates? Plus, I measured the sliders against the stock ones and they are shorter, so I think the sliders are useless because they won't mount up properly to the floor.

The sliders will NOT mount directly to the floor...
Let me try to be more specific:
Going from the ceiling to the floor, here is the list of parts in the order in which they will be assembled.
Race seat -> slider adaptor bracket (if the holes on the bottom/side of the seat do not align with the holes in the slider tracks) -> slider tracks -> mounting brackets (which are specifically designed for YOUR car).
So, it is possible that as many as FOUR different components are required to install the seat to your chassis... three minimum.

Thanks for the "list" Jim. I actually figured out how the "universal" sliders fit on. There were spacers attached to the bolts that mount onto the mounting brackets (which I have to make or buy). I thought they were suppose to be there. But then when I looked at a post of someone having similar difficulties (but with a j-body car), I saw the spacers inbetween the seat and the sliders. DOH!!!! [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Now how would I go about making the brackets to mount these to the floor??

Where would I get/order them from for my application ('96 civic cx hatch)? Would the mounting brackets be the correct dimensions? Would you know if Sparco/Corbeau mounting brackets would work?

You don't... you buy them for about $85.00 each plus shipping.
If you have materials and can weld really good... I suppose you could make one.
