I've got frogs in my engine!!

Lately, I've been hearing strange noises from my engine...kind of like a frog is stuck in one of the pipes. I get that "chirping" noise was my RPM's drop back down.

Anybody know what I'm talking about?

If it sounds like a midget gurgling then its your water pump bearings, mine do it too. Get a mechanics stethoscope(sp?) and put it next to the h2o pump.. I bet you its the bearings..

Lol...

It is absolutely the strangest noise. Remember when you were a kid, camping? It's that chirping--"ribbit" noise. And it's only audible when the RPM's drop back down. I may have to take it to the dealer to figure out what's going on.

If it's at only certain RPMs...might be some heatsheild?

I have had the SC on for...about 1.5 miles now? I did one downshift, and got a chirp. I am pretty confident its a belt. which one, i have no clue. but, you are describing something like a loose belt chirping...

Yeah, if it's a little chirp after you downshift then that would indicate the belt...however this occurs when I'm slowly driving around at parking lot speeds. It goes away at freeway speeds.
