We've rapped about NAMM in a few threads. Let's nail it down before travel starts.
1. Is there interest in having a HOD meeting at least once a day? This way we could hang and if there is stuff happening at night, we can talk about options.
2. Do we want to select a meeting place--Zildjian booth each day at noon or something like this? We can then decide where to go for lunch or what not.
3. Other thots?
Like most of you, I will be meeting a lot of people, so wnated to nail this down before the week gets going.

im not sure about meeting once a day........not sure i'd want to be tied down to be honest.
but i will be at the sabian night and zildjian night and at catalinas on the 23rd....maybe we could hang there?
i'll still check my email every now and then if poss....i leave for L.A tomorrow.....gonna be a vacation too!
maybe we could meet on one day and organise a hang...?

OK...How about Friday at noon? Meet at the Zildjian booth. It is usually next to Roland at the end of the hall--can't miss it. We can get some lunch like last year and see what's up and where everyone is going for the night.
When I said meet once a day...it would be for those who are available--a place to meet for those who are free. At least give the opportunity for some who might be busy and can't make it Friday but can Saturday. Just thinking out loud. I know many need to start traveling ASAP so wanted to nail something down--like meet Friday at noon at Zildjian booth.

OH...does the night events require a special pass like Groove Night used to? Yamaha sponsered events used to require a special pass outside the NAMM badge...which was VERY difficult to obtain. I hope Sabien and Zild night requires only a NAMM badge and first come first serve. They stretch the room occupancy requirements, but used that as a reason to turn folks away one year citing fire marshall warnings. The Baked Potato was PACKED way beyond limits when Jazz Ministry performed.

Friday, noon at the Zildjian booth sounds good. I'm working at NAMM that day but should be able to get away for lunch at noon.
What's this about Zildjian night??????

My understanding is that the Zildjian party is by 'invitation' only. The Sabian party is open to anyone with a NAMM badge.
I am supposed to be at the Zildjian booth by 3 to meet up with some people.
Last year we did lunch across the street at a deli place in which I was called away just as we sat to eat.
Danny can only make Friday I believe.

Randy I right. I can only come on Friday, which TOALLY sucks. So, Friday noon at Zildjian sounds good. I'll see if Bissonette can join us too. I know he'll be at Roland around 10 AM each day.

I was trying to go Sat and Sun, but can and probably will try to go Fri. Especially if it's a hang with Greg. That would be cool. Danny.... tell greg I said hi. Sounds like you've been hanging with him lately.
Probably take my bike so I can get in and out of there quick. I hate L.A. Traffic.
Palmer.... you'd better look into reservations for Weckl at Catalina's. Last time me and Tony Pia went on the last night of Chick, we almost didn't get in. Seems like sun night can sometimes be busy.

I spoke with Gregg today. First, he was so thankful for the invitation to hang and share lunch. He really wants to meet the HOD gang. Unforunately, he is scheduled to be somewhere almost every hour. He asked if we could come by the booth for his stick bag around 11:30 or so. It's not in the drum area, so it's usually not too busy. He said we would be able to hang and chat pretty freely at that booth.
Otherwise, we can just meet at noon at the Zildjian booth.
