I heard you are the man to talk to for 8PSI pulleys!! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif
I wanted to know if you have them, make them, or sell them at all? I already have the high flow walbro fuel pump and am looking at buying the MSD BTM. I have to take the blower off of the car because I think I blew out the sealant in between the manifold and the blower. So if the blower is going to be off, I might as well replace the pulley, Right? Thanks for any help

I normally have the 8 psi pulleys in stock... however, there has been a lull in the production deliveries from JR... they tell me that I will have more in about two weeks. If you can hang on until then, I can help. If not, consider a CRV crank pulley instead. It works just fine and doesn't cost much more than the blower pulley.

Does the CRV crank Pulley work the same as the smaller blower pulley? Do you know if the CRV pulley is much different than the crank pulley that Jackson Racing is working on making? Sorry for all the questions, I am sure this was all pretty much covered back in posts from the past few months, but it is all scattered around. Thanks again. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

It might not be a bad idea to change your timing belt and water pump if you go through the effort of removing the harmonic balancer (aka crank pulley). Just a thought.

JR, how much does the CRV pulley cost, can you get it and what psi do you think I will have combined w/ my 3.4 (9.5psi).

LS Avenger: It depends on the car. I removed my crank pulley at about 40K miles with only a standard socket wrench and my leg muscles.
Since then, I can remove and re-install the crank pulley in under a half hour.
This makes a CRV pulley much more attractive than a new blower pulley for me to go to 8psi. If I don't like the higher boost, 1/2 hour later it's back to 6psi.
YMMV.

From what I've gathered in past posts and from what Jim's told me, the CRV pulley won't work on SOHC civics...only B-series engines.

I just gathered information that the CRV pulley (Harmonic Balancer) is around 150-170 from Honda. Now the last remaining question is does the CRV pulley work ok.in other words, has anyone officially installed the pulley and tried it? Does anyone know what size belts are needed? Thanks

VtecRacer: Yea I'm running with the crv pulley. Works just fine...boost guage reads about 8psi. My original crank pulley got fucked up when we changed the timing belt. You will need new belts for a/c, power steering, and alternator. The crv pulley is about 2 inches bigger than the stock so naturally your belts will need to be a little longer. I don't remember the lengths off-hand. Just get a few different belts for each application and use what fits best...return the others.
btw...i think i paid $135 for the crv pulley from a&h parts.

What will the cr-v pulley due if you are already at 9.5 psi? Will the larger diameter crank pulley slow down your alternator too much?
