I love GL's posts because of his sharp wit and keen insight. However, he sometimes forgets that not everyone picks up on his subreferences.
Therefore, for the benefit of Boo and jdf, I want to explain the "Chamberlain" sub-ref. There really is no one in Spain named Chamberlain. What GL is doing is alluding to a historical figure in the past who got himself in the same predicament. In this case, of course, we're discussing Wilt Chamberlain, who scored 100 in a single night (and then went out and played a basetball game)
I heard Wilt Chamberlain slept with ALOT of women. That is crazy, doesn't he even BEGIN to thin about STD? I had the clap once, it was unpleasant. I don't know why they call it the clap either, I mean I sure DIDN'T want to do any clapping. So let me get this straight.
Wilt Chamberlain was in Spain with Richardf Chamberlain doing something with a bird and some thorns that gave them both the clap?
No, no, no, Greg. It all happened in England, right after Jumper's Rangers started bombing Dresden.
edited to add that this is gae, not trav.
