Chick Corea Movie

Hello, this is my first post and is a movie from the North Sea Jazz Festival in Holland. It is a 13 minutes movie with Dave on the drums.

What a star! Thanks for that. I had a gig at the North Sea Jazz Festival on Friday and had to leave the next day but I would have loved to see this band.

wow....Mike Pope did a real nice job on that gig....
I have new found respect for him, after seeing him cover the traditional, straight ahead stuff so well on Steve Smith's DVD, to see him kick it with Chick so well is impressive......

Hi Dazzler with whom where you playing? I was there for three days.

JP, I was on the blues stage with a guy called Lee Sankey. He's a blues(ish) musician. Our band was made up of 5 horns 2 guitars abss drums and vox. A good luagh and great to see so many jazz legends.
Did you catch Randy Brecker with Bill Evans? What an awful set. The music was shocking. Great band: Dave Kikoski, Johnathan Blake, Ronnie Cuber etc, but HORRIBLE music and they were all 'heads down', reading the charts and making loads of mistakes. Who were you with?

I am not playing in the Dutch jazz scene but I know a couple of the guys who were playing there so I was there as a visiter but indeed Randy Brecker with Bill Evans was a sad performance. I think I have seen Lee Sankey but I must admit I'm not sure but I will check my VCR tape, I taped all three day broadcasts. IMO the NSJF this year was too much African minded and on the other hand too poppy. I haven't seen anything new or groundbreaking. If you have to play again in the Netherlands let me know and I will come to the show.
