hmm..i dont know if you mean haynes/jones and stewart on the same album?
The only cd i know of with Bill and elvin on at the same time is Michael breckers "time is of the essence". As for Bill, i believe he's released 3 records and "Think before you think" is the one with cover tunes and not HIS compositions(i could be wrong)
As the comprehensive listing above mentions roy haynes with the classic chick corea "Now he sings (ect). I'd add another classic.... wayne shorters "Speak no evil" for Elvin.
Btw i saw haynes with pat metheny in a small club in harlsden in the 80's. He played so unobtrusive, you'd be hard pressed to tell there was a drummmer playing that night. AMAZING!
one word........... ** TAIN **
Also Greg Hutchinson, Tony, Jack, Gene Calderazzo, Gary Husband, Paul Motion, Joey Baron, Billy Kilson, Smitty Smith, Nusbaum...
louie when you come to the site, click refresh on your computer because PM's dont always show up.
Dazzler..sister cheryl from wyntons first album is Hypnotic!
Sister Cheryl is a beautiful tune and composed by Tony Williams too! Also Think Before you Think, by (drummer) Bill Stewart. It just shows you that some of our favourite players are more than drummers, they compose too. Tain, Bill Stewart, Tony all have a fantastic understanding of harmony and melody. This can only help their playing and make them more rounded musicians IMO.
