I'm having real trouble finding a suitable piece of music for one of my films. As the film is only going to be about 3mins long it's **** near impossible to find something that fits - so I've resigned myself to having to create my own.
Does anyone know what a good program for making music (on a Mac OSX system) is?
I'd like one that is pretty quick and easy to use. One that has plenty of samples and allows to import samples too are the only real necessities. Not just drum beats and dance tracks though - I want to be able to mix orchestral style pieces.

I know very little about creating music - but I have created some - and I have tried - rebirth, fruity loops, and hammerhead, and they are all good, fruity loops may be the best Ive seen for having a LOT of samples, and its pretty easy to use. Only trouble is, Im not sure if you can get it for a Mac.

"Reason" by Propellorhead isn't bad. It's well easy to use and has plenty of samples....

Well, Final Cut Pro 4 is supposed to have lots of royalty free music on it that can be altered and made to fit any length that you desire.
Having said that, DEFINITELY hook up with real musicians and those that want to compose before digital makes us all automatons that can think and can do every job because it's digital.
