Sometimes there is nothing more refreshing than a straight-up, unapologetic rawk album. Vancouver?s Flash Bastard combine hot licks with tight leather posturing for a balls-out collection of hooks and harmonies. Nothing new here ? Bastard Radio is content recalling ?70s punk and ?80s power pop ? but Donal Finn?s cries of "Yeah," "Baby" and "Oooh" don?t rely on originality, they rely on recognition. You could complain about the predictable solos, mid-song kick-and-snare drum breakdowns and snotty backing vocals, but you would be missing the point. Maybe you?d rather listen to your Joan Jett records, but so would Flash Bastard.
I can't find any release though on the Longshots Records sight although it has a bit of info about the band. These guys never were always kinda mysterious as far finding out what they were up to.

i have a ton of stickers that they sent me a few years ago. i think they sent a sampler with a few songs on it as well. i do remember one song, burn em up baby [i think] that was really good.
the only Flash Bastard i remember is the guy who went by that name. think he played guitar for Zodiac Mindwarp
