online music downloads

someone give me the scoop on this...is it still alright to download music on kazzaa, etc?

i dont care about lawsuits and all that jazz...i care about getting viruses and being hacked, etc.

what's up in the downloading world?

someone must know.

personally i am not frightened by viruses or
hackers.... nor propaganda....

soulseek is better for music shit than kazaa usually

i dont even understand what the RIAA(whatever its called) is trying to do.,.,.they are gonna try to stop people from downloading songs, bc its hurting record sales, maybe if half these bands today could put out a decent cd there wouldnt even be this problem.,.,.

they are spending more on lawyer fees, etc than they will ever make back with "increased" album sales.

okay... kazaa itself has annoying stuff in it, i prefer kazaa lite. the spy-ware free version.
Next to that, and ..uuhmm... hacking through kazaa lite is nigh impossible.
Virusses..well.. they can get on, but you can't infect music of video files, only files that get 'executed', like a program, or a script can contain a virus.
So it's not that dangerous. i just don't like kazaa that much.
