Ok, I got the remaining 5 dolls' dolls that I needed today.
And what exactly am I supposed to do with Kaya's doll? I'm terrified to take her out of that cradleboard! She is so snuggly in there, I'll never get her back in properly. Why does it have to lace from the bottom up?
Has anyone undone the laces and changed the direction?
Also, I really think this was done cheaply with cotton floss, wouldn't it have been better and more accurate with leather, or something more like a shoelace.
Diana won't be getting her hands on this one for a long while, not if it even intimidates me!
Love Samantha's doll, Molly's, really all of them, they are very cute!

Lacing was done that way to be able to secure the arms of the baby so that you could tie it easier and be able to get to the bottoms of the baby for cleanings.....much like we have snap closures on the bottoms of baby pants today.
The babies always fit that securely in the cradleboards. Imagine your berry picking and bend over. Baby no come out! YAY!

My daughter has Kaya and I have Kaya's doll. I took the doll out of the cradleboard to see what the rest of the doll looked like. The first thing that happened was one of the hair braid fasteners came undone in the process. It was tricky rebraiding the slick hair but I was able to fix it. The doll looks adorable out of the carrier! We keep the doll tucked next to Kaya or sitting on her lap. The doll isn't stiff like I thought so she's really cute and a little floppy and huggable. I haven't put her back in the cradleboard because she looks better out.

I think she's really cute. She's on my doll of doll's to get list. I have Sam's and even though she's cute too, she's not what I expected, I almost sent it back. Kit's, Nellie's and Josefina's is also on the list, but then again so is Josefina!

We have the doll and cradleboard. The first thing my daughter did was take her out of it. You really have to completely unlace it and take out the string to put her back. It's no more difficult than putting on Felicity's lace jacket. Just slightly annoying. We keep her in the cradleboard hanging on Steps High's saddle.
