I've completed compression tests on several friends motors including my own.
The Honda shop manual says B16A3s should be 220psi and D16Z6 should be 185psi. Are these numbers acceptable?
For my B16A3 with ~130k kilometers:
195-197 psi across all 4 cylinders
207 psi after leakdown.
Worn rings?
Civic SiR B16A2 with ~35k kilometers:
185 psi across all cylinders.
185 psi after leakdown.
Why so low?
Civic HB Si D16Z6: with ~130k kilometers.
165-170 psi across all cylinders
Sol Si D16Z6: with ~100k kilometers.
150(Cyl 3), 165-175 psi
