Has anyone else checked out Kevin Steele from Roxx Gangz new Mojo Guru stuff. It'z way removed from the sleaze of gangz stuff soundz more country than anything else. Letz just hope it'z a passing phase and normal service will be resumed soon.
Just a warning here...If you think this Mojo Shitrus is just a passing thing for Kevin steele, well, think again. I read an interview online where he basically said that he didn't really give a shit about Perris Records and the first chance he could get to be on a major label with the blues thing he was gonna take it. And if you go on the Roxx Gang website, you'll notice they are taking an extended break. It's over. I still can't figure out where in the FUCK these guys get off thinking they are gonna suddenly change and become this great band. I don't remember everybody rushing out and buying LA GUNS "AMERICAN HARDCORE"(WE ARE TRYING TO BE KORN) album. Do you? I'm sorry for bitching about this again but I think Kevin Steele's glam stuff was so amazing and I hate to say it, based on what I read, we ain't ever gonna hear or see that side of him again. Better dust off those first two Roxx Gang albums.
a few years ago on a jaunt through florida i drove 4 hours to see roxx gang only to have to sit through a night of mojo guru. not even one roxx gang song. there were only like 20 people at the club too. you think he would have gotten the hint.
and also, i love the american hardcore cd from la guns.
Yeah I love the Roxx Gandg stuff...but me beign a Kevin Steele fan....Mojo Gurus is still awesome too me. And if the new direction is more of a country blues...hey that'll work for me.
I'm from Texas so Country Music is played on my stereo once in a while.
