I ate there on Tuesday for lunch and the place was pretty quiet because it was about 2 pm. First off, the food was EXCELLENT. I had the fish-n-chips (honestly, the best fish-n-chips I ever had outside of San Fransisco). Secondly, the juke box was fucking rad. everything from the Stones to the Stooges and the bartender hooked me up with 10 credits. Also, I got to meet Christopher as he was walking around working on the place. Very cool, down to earth, and humble guy. I complimented him on the place and also told him how much Social D means to me. He said thank you and that Social D means a lot to him too. I highly recommend anybody in Southern California who wants some incredibly delicious food for a decent price to check out the Pike on 4th Street 1 block up from Cherry in Long Beach (Its 3 blocks up from Hawleywoods barber shop too). There's a lot of cool thrift stores along that strip too.

Mmmm, the food there is so yummy!! They have the best mushroom tacos ever!!!
I really like the place. Chris Reeces is always really nice. The staffs always really nice too, but they seem like there always stoned.

maybe I missed it somewhere down the road years ago but was there ever a "reason" why Chris left the band or is that hush-hush?

Kustom55 - If I remember correctly he didn't likeand agree with the direction the band was heading before they recorded WLWHWT. Something tells me that since the band returned back to their sound that he as part of (SWBH&H Era) he probably misses the band more than ever. Especially since that are bigger than ever before.... He was a medioce drummer like Ness said once before, but he is no Charlie Fucking Quintana!!! Reece is still friends with Social D. according to what I have read in the past.

I checked out The Pike on Saturday just before the Swingin Utters\Naked Raygun show in LB, which was by the way the best show I've been to in years hands down. But The Pike was good I got a Shrimp Burrito and a Shrimp cocktail which were both very tasty! A little pricey for a dive bar at around $10 bucks a burrito, the bill came out to be around $35 for 2 of us with soft drinks. Chris has a few Social D things around the place all in all pretty cool...
