hitting the streets soon!!

I think this has been mentioned before,but hitting the streets soon will be the '89 Buddy Rich Concert w/Vinnie,Weckl,and Gadd on DVD as well as the Akoustic Band Live @ the Blue Note w/Vinnie on DVD.

I'm sure alot of you have heard this,but for those of you who have not,just thought I'd fill ya in!

I second that, I have seen nothing about that DVD hitting stores.

whatever happened to the 9 disc DVD set Chick was said to be releasing from the NY gigs last year?

Is Audiophile the source of this info?

Here's the scoop, I spoke to Mark at Audiophile Imports and here is what he said.

"Chick and I have had two conversations regarding the
Blue Note dvd with Vinnie he told me he had signed a deal in Japan for it
last summer, still no release date, there is the 9 dvd (Rendevous in NY )
box set being released in Japan in Feb, and supposedly a three quartets live
with Gadd from '81 dvd later this year."

So, the Blue Note gig may see the light of day, but there is no release date so far.

sounds promising....anyway we can see how much the 9-disc set will be....any japanese sites?

I hope the Blue Note with Vinnie dvd does see the light of day, have wondered about that one for quite awhile. Will be GREAT if it does happen.
