If the Indians went with Broussard at first, Blake or Crisp at second, Omar at short, Martinez at third, Gerut, Bradley, and Crisp or Escobar in the outfield, each one of these players is capable of going from first to third on the single, from second to home on the single, stealing a base, or moving up on a sac AND preventing the doubleplay.
This is the one intangible that gets overlooked. The Angels had the fleet of foot intangible going for them two years ago, and the Yankees weren't quite as fleet of foot but still run the bases intelligently.

If the Indians put Blake or Crisp at second, and Martinez at third they basically are forgetting about infield defense. Not a good thing to forget about with a stable of young pitchers.....

I think you posted that Crisp did not have the arm to play second, so they put him in center. I'm not sure a player who doesn't have the arm for second can be moved to center.
It seems to me that it would be the other way around.

Which is why he ends up playing more left then center.....
