What are the differences?
Zdyne replaces the whole ECU with a modified one that allows for full engine control. PMS is a piggyback system that retains the stock ECU, but fully reprograms it.
And then there is the Hondata system. Is this a chip system or a new ECU or what?
I really want some sort of Engine management system, but I am not really sure what to buy!
I have talked to G3-Teg and he says that PMS is awesome so I am leaning towards that, but will the Zdyne be out soon? And if so, will it be the best choice?
I am fairly retarded when it comes to anything mechanical so easy is best! Plus, I *must* have stock drivability.

If you want easy avoid the PMS. You can search the archives on this page and look at some of the difficulties some people were having with the PMS and the associated software.
The ZDYNE/Hondata is a more ideal setup. Of the two, I prefer the ZDYNE system. It is a lot easier than the Hondata system. The ZDYNE is plug and play whereas the Hondata system requires burning a new chip every time you change your configuration. Can you imagine tuning on the dyno and having to burn a new eprom every time you make a slight tweak to the fuel or ignition map?
Not to mention the ZDYNE system is less expensive than the Hondata. The ZDYNE should be available for the 92+ applications in the next couple of months.

Getting the PMS setup initially shouldn't be a problem because G3-Teg volunteered his services to help me set it all up.
My question is, what is a better system once all is said and done?

There are really no 'difficulties' when i comes to the PMS and its usage. The only screwed up parts of it, are what EFI fails to mention in their manual.
Once you figure that out, its REALLY easy to make adjustments. Even easier if you have the software. Especailly with the datalogging capabilities which Zdyne does not offer.
You can practically tune without a dyno and get EXTREMELY close to peak hp/tq potential.

Sorry to say, the PMS does NOT reprogram the ECU. It is just another form of trickery. You'd be better off with a hondata.
However, having run the ZDYNE in my '00 Si, (my car is the test pig) I can tell you firsthand that if we would have had to pull over and burn a chip for each adjustment we made, we would have spent many hours for what we did in 45 min.
It will be available in about 3 months FOR TEGS, and is far more dynamically tunable than ANY PMS. I'm not saying you won't achieve similar results, but a standalone ECU is by far the way to go.
