I might have it laying around on cassette. No idea why you'd want it. From what I remember, the recording quality is very poor. The only song difference between the Leathur recording and the Elektra release is Stick to Your Guns which, by the Crue's standard, is a pretty poor song as well. Ya' must be a pretty big fan.
Go buy the box set the Leathur version is in it, I also have the vinyl I always thought Leathur was far better then the Elecktra
well, to answer your question, i used to have it a long time ago. i thought the version of some of the songs were a lot better than the eletra recordings. also, just thought it would be cool to add it to my collection.
Okay, works for me. To each their own, I guess. If ya' digs it, then ya' digs it. Was it ever released on cd through Leathur?
no it was only released on record and cassette (until this recent box set)
Didn't think so. Thanx Glitter.
no prob just so everyone who may not know will know. the leathur records version on the crue boxset was recorded from a VINYL record! yup folks they did not use any so called "master" tapes. you can occassionally hear the pops and crackles from the record transfer but it still sounds pretty damn good.
kinda makes me feel better about my home transferring of old demos and stuff on to cd if record labels are doing it now!
I really need to hear the Leathur version, the Elektra version is the only Crue album I like but I've never heard the original.
Ashliegh
<font size="3" face="Arial">WOW!!! I personally think the Leathur recording kills the Electra releas, I have the leathur version on Vinyl and for an Indi release it creams Electras version...I HIGHLY recommend getting your hands on either the Vinyl or the Box set.Quote:
