looking for something on the house here.
but i did find something about John Hilliard
Dr. John K. Hilliard, The Standard Of Motion-Picture Sound
Ditto, but couldn't find any street address or other info on his house to track it further.
We all find the same thing. The thread where the guy said he knew where it might be and was walking around ringing peoples door and gate bells. what an ultramaroon. now if he had an orange vest, they might have opened the door.
Missed it! :( Oh well, worth a 'shot' and thought Todd might know.
This might be a little late GM but this might be a good place to start... Don't know. I haven't researched it myself, just came across this thought you might like it.
It's titled "Hi-Fi System with a Roof "

Cool! Thanks! Only ever seen the cover, though did do a search for the article to no avail.:(
John Hilliard's system is also featured in Alexis Badmaieff / Don Davis' "How To Build Speaker Enclosures" (Howard W. Sams & Co., Inc., 1966), ISBN 0-672-20520-3, in Chapter 3, Infinite Baffles.
Here's an archive.org link to the 14th edition; it's described on pages 37-40.

Fwiw, Badmaieff was chief transducer engineer at Altec and we all know who Don Davis is (SynAudCon, etc). They also co-authored the initial edition of "Sound System Engineering".
