What's the best show you've ever seen?

Mine was Skid Row in 1988. Just kidding. It was actually the Wailers (minus Bob Marley) around 1996. They came to my college and I checked them out, and they were absolutely incredible. And I'm not even into reggae. Harry Connick was great, as was the Count Basie Band (around 1993 at the Newport Jazz Festival).

I saw the DeJohnette/Hanckock/Holland/Metheney show at the Mellon Jazz fest in Pittsburgh awhile back and it was simply transcendental.

Those guys are GOOD.

ANd Rush's last tour was incredible. That was a helluva concert. Neil played his ass off in Detroit and it was just rockin.

The Test for Echo show I caught in Philly second row and the whole vibe was great, Philly is definitely a concert city.

Seriously, seeing the weckl band 3 times in london over the last couple of years was amazing. Also, Frank McComb a few weeks ago was incredible.
And T.O.P. a few years back, with mick mestek on drums( taught by garibaldi so I heard).

I was also the worst because I hated listening to Toto without Jeff's incredible groove.

benrand I think that very show with Herbie and Pat is on DVD. I have one with the same lineup, around the same time, same venue as well. Should be able to get it here.

Groove........That was the quartet tour with James, Jimmy, Clifford and Carlos.

Got it in one Randy my friend. What a band it was.

To finally see Carlos play live literally bought a tear to my eye, that and the superb JT and rest of the band.

Carlos seemed in such great spirits and played so well, (as well, if not better than any of the other God know how many JT bootlegs I have with him on!). I feel blessed to have witnessed this when I did.

I talked with James about Carlos, I didn't know he was in a bad stage when he was, I expect only his family did. It never showed on stage. Just magical...
