No one seems to want to race me!! I drive about 30 miles a day on the turnpike so every now and then Iit's cool to get it on with a fellow racer.
But ever since I got my R it get nothing compared to when I had my Prelude. I get a lot of people coming up behind me fast, they slow down when they reach me, sweat my car, and don't want to race. Wuz up with dat?
This morning I'm driving, normal cruising speed, and I see this Turbo Eclipse coming up fast with this Huge intercooler. Stays behind me and won't pass. I let him pull up next to me and he won't look at me. All of a sudden he doesn't feel like going fast no more. So I move on.
Then a Nissan 240 SE comes up fast behind me, all kitted out, looking like a Silvia. WIth his girl in the car, pulls up next to me and slows down. Nothing!!! I'm trying to signal the guy and he won't look. NEXT......
A new RSX Type S coming up on an on ramp sees me and guns it to catch up. So I figure he wants some. The guy pulls up, I give him the node cause his looking at me, but he acts like he has no idea what I'm talking about. He just wanted to look. So I pull away, he tried to keep a distance and follow close behind but I just left his ass. NEXT....
Just before the toll I see a GSR Turbo with a massive intercooler coming on from an on ramp. We both make eye contact and I wait for him to catch up. He hits the toll next to me and takes off slowly waiting for me. As soon as I go thru the tool I see the black puff of smoke from his tail pipe. I took off after him SOO hard I caught up and had to slam on the brakes to the point my anti locks came on to not hit his ass from behind. The guy was like doing 0 to 60's or something!! Anyway I pull up next to him give him the sign to go, I get another blank stare like he has no clue what to do. Just looks is all I get. I even miss my exit to see if he changes his mind...NOTHING. Freak'n fag!! So I go on to work.
What's the deal?!! Why is my car not getting any love? I use to have everyone wanting to race when I had my Prelude, now I get shit. Anyone having similar experiences?
BTW: I not trying to say me car is the shit or anything, I'm just trying to point out my observations.

I rarely get any challanges in my GSR, but when I go out in my wife's black Maxima SE, every punk in a Grand Prix, Grand Am and over-slammed Honda seems to want a piece.

It's messed up cause it's like were stuck in the middle. The regular hondas don't want to race for whatever reason..(they'll loose!!) They have turbos and all..WTF!! And the V8's think their big shit and we aint worth the gas. Which is bullshit cause they just don't want to have their ass handed to them by a 4 banger.
Every Mustang I've raced will race hard up to the point when I pass them, then they act like they were never racing.

Yup I got more kills on my 99 Civic ex auto before i had the supercharger than after! Maybe the Si lip and Si sideskirts and GS teg wheels sacre them off?
Or maybe my dual pod with the boost gauge in it. C'mon scared of a 16.1 second car phahaha.

I actually do have a recent kill I forgot to mention. Last Wednesday on my way to the movies with my girl I made a wrong turn. So I'm on side side road trying to make a left over a 3 lane main road. Then a Black BMW pulls up behind me and starts to Rev the crap outta his car. I pull out and wait for him in the center lane. He comes out chirp'n tire haul'n ass! I didn't let me go past and I just pulled on him, I was into third gear and he was about 3 cars back.
We get to the light and he's on my right, but I have a car in front of me. So he signals me that he'll wait for me. Light turns green, I pull up behind him and he GUNS it. We were going up a pretty good incline to, I up on his left, have my girl smile at him, give him the road runner 'beep beep' and just dust his ass.
That was a cool race. The guy followed me up the road to the movies and pulled up next to me. He was driving a new 330ci with new chrome rims and had to know what I had done to my car. We talked for a sec but all he could really do was shake his head in disbelieve. hahaha

I never get honda's racing me, however thats good. When a honda rev's at me, I just laugh and keep going. Around here in the rice capital, most all honda's are slow. Their are a few turbo or NOS'd one's, but they normally will tell me that they have a turbo or NOS's by either purging the NOS or hitting the blow off valve a hundread times in a row! lol
The cars that do race me are muscle cars, yuppies in porsche's (I will only race turbo's), ferrari's (I will only race 550's since I've beaten a ton of 355's), lambo's (I still havn't had a good race yet, sicne last time my blower belt wasn't on! lol), or BMW's (only M3 with chargers, or a E46 for fun to laugh at him for spending so much on that heavy POS, and for not getting a E36). However I will race a NSX, type R, supra, etc... They are just fun to play with! lol
When you start hitting 12's or low 13's, their are very few cars on the road that can do that, which is why I rarly will take a race. Its not worth it IMO.

I'm feeling ya. Ever since I got my teg I hardly ever get to street race. The only people who try to pull on me is a soccer mom in her mini van at a red light. I don't understand it. My friends go out and have all of these stories of street races and I got nothing. I would love for some pack of V8's to pull up beside me and take turns getting their a#% waxed and handed to them. Untill then I guess I'll just conserve the gas and drive like my grandma.
