I actually read that forum sometimes for fun. I really can sort of relate to them, because they're really obsessed collectors too. Plus my daughter used to collect those, and I have a vague idea what they're talking about.

I just think it's really cool to see collectors that are that passionate about their hobby. And I'm taking a wild guess that there are NO flame wars on that site.

Never heard of that board, but I just checked. Maybe "Kirsten" like the equilvalent to our Walmart Raven??

And I thought an Indiana Jones moment was when a Nazi's face melted off, but I must be off on that.

I wonder if they have their own version of a "Supergirl101" poster.

I used to get catalogues for them all the time when I was a little girl. there's even a series of books about the dolls.

people who collect dolls like that can be very, very passionate about what they collect. moreso than pretty much every toy collector I've encountered. I crochet little tiny dolls and sell them online, and let me tell you..some of my customers were downright disturbing. a lot of them were sweet as pie, and a pleasure to deal with, but the crazy ones..well..they creeped me out sometimes. I had to laugh about it though..these women probably had no clue that the money they were giving me for cutesy little dolls was going towards hellraiser and spawn figures. it's such a huge difference in taste and style.

It seems they even do their own customs of sorts !!!!
