I almost bought a Sony MD last year, but they didn't have drivers for Mac [img]graemlins/grrr.gif[/img] .
Does anybody know if I can use these new generation of MD in a Mac, or are just for PC.
I heard about this a few weeks ago. Could be very sweet!! May have to replace my workhorse MZR 91 [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

Could you guys shed some light on the whole minidisc thing for me? I'm seriously considering buying one to record myself practicing. I already have an early 90s Tascam 4-track but it's too much hassle to get rolling every time I sit at the kit. I guess what I'm wondering is, how much should I look to spend, and what features do I want? Thanks as always guys.
I've got a Sony MZ-N707 that I love, plus a Sony stereo mic that I use to record my bands' live shows and rehearsals. I play in 3 bands, so this helps me learn the tunes a bit better and to remember what I've been playing & improve it. I've also found a site with hacks for the firmware to make it act like a higher priced model. There were a few with the same hardware in them, they just didn't have all of the options turned on. I guess it was a money saver for Sony.
I usually take mine into the computer using Cakewalk Sonar or Steinburg Wavelab to create .wav's or .mp3's.
It's a pretty good system that fits into a small video camera case.
