U.S. Patent Office & Drawings

The most detailed and complete technical drawings of all models would [i believe] be the patent drawings held by the U.S. Patent Office. Those drawings would be the ultimate reference source for all of our issues such as missing mica and where it was placed. If there are any patent attorneys in our group, how would we go about obtaining these drawings ?

Ha, have you tried the US Gov't on-line patent search page? They have patents back to 1790:

I have found many vintage items that I've bought from e-Bay here, complete with drawings.
