There were two AoD endings ?

I only remember Ash at the supermarket. What was the other ending ?

The other one, the wizard guy from way back when created this concotion from the Book that would cause Ash to sleep and wake up in his time.

Ash screwed up the number of drops he was supposed to give himself (like he screwed up the "Klaatu Verada Nikto" phrase he was supposed to say when picking up the Mecronomicron) and he over slept into what was post WW3 or Armageddon from the looks of it.

Where can we see this alternate ending?

It is availible on 1 or 2 of the Army of Darkness DVDs.

mmm.. looks like I'll have to get one. Last Christmas I bought AoD on tape. 2$ on clearance.

No problem man, added another version that has it too. I wouldn't doubt it if there are even more. So many versions of AoD have been released on DVD.

Me too. Would you believe I have never seen the previous movies from Evil Dead ?

boomstick edition... I've seen that around here, I'll have to take a look.
One thing that bothers me is one I've got the movie (be it tape or tape) I have trouble buying it again... My only exception were for Black Hawk Down (sold the first one I had after though(sp?))and Predator (You never can have to much Predator)

Moviemaniac4- I've seen the other two but it was a while ago, I don't remember them well.

I've never gone back and seen the Evil Deads also. Thought they were more horror based than humor/horror like AoD.

I think I got the Boomstick edition and it had the non-theatrical ending on there as a bonus item if I am not mistaken
