The following is the e-mail I sent to Greyhound yesterday, and the response I received today. Keep up the pressure folks. .................................................. ......

Your support through your advertising on the venemous Air America has led me to choose Trailways or some alternate transportation method in the future. I hope you will reconsider your allegiance to those who despise those in the US Armed Forces.

Thank you for contacting us with your concerns about Greyhound ads on WLIB radio. We have conducted an investigation into the matter. Our media placement firm bought advertising on the American Urban Radio Network (AURN) as part of a national network buy. WLIB radio was part of that network, and at the time our ads were placed, the station's format was Caribbean music.

Our investigation revealed that WLIB changed its format without notifying us or our media placement firm. We have issued a cease and desist order immediately and will not be advertising on the station in the future.

Oh. Some disk jockeys out west were fired after playing audio portions of Berg's beheading and making jokes about it. Assholes.

Two things- one, screw highway transport, we had a good thing going when passenger trains went everywhere. Now we don't, and we all pay for it everytime we sit in traffic on I-75, or have to pay $900 to fly Delta.

Second, regarding radio, PHIL HENDRIE LIVES!!!! Don't know how long he'll be back, but he's back on 1360 AM The Sports Animal from 6-10. LOVE IT!!!

Other than WSAI, the coolest radio station ever was 1230 WDJO which was on the air from early 1984 until January 1990 (went off the air the day before I moved to Florida). They played oldies and had as on-air personalities Dusty Rhodes and Jim Labarbra and Jim Scott. WSAI made a comeback for a few years at 1360 but it was never quite the same as the original. I think the only oldies station you have there now still is 103.5 WGRR which has about 14 songs in its library...

Dear Mr. XXXX, I apologize to your offense to the radio commercial airing on an Air America affiliate. It is not the view of HP to use mediums like TV or radio to support or disagree with any type of political agendas, and the overriding consideration in buying media is to reflect HP as a responsible and global corporate citizen of good standing. When purchasing media for use in communicating HP messages, we generally look for where are core target is and where we will garner the highest response rates. We did run spot radio commerials on affiliates of the network. All radio ads have been completed and we will not be running any type of commercials with them in the future. HP is mindful in avoiding editorial content that could be seen as sensationalized or strongly biased.

I appreciate your input and will continue to monitor our media purchasing procedures in the future. Thank you.
