Maybe it's the only way he could afford to put the thing out...
That EP is a limited demo EP, put together by the record company just to get people interested in buying the real new Tigertailz cd that is being recorded now by Steevi's version of the band. It was ONLY released as a cdr, and only about 200 of them exist in the world. With a pressing that small, it's obviously not cost efficient to do an "official" silver pressing...
It sucks, but it's better than them not releasing it at all...
Sandi
Yup, like Sandi says, they were all CDR's, even if you bought them at the show.
King of the World. I ordered this from TB Records, and it is a CDR ! I might have expected this from Ebay but not when ordering off the website. Anyone else get a CDR ?
My KOTW copy doens't look like a CDR... There are very nice and high quality pics on it and the sound is great. It really doesn't sound like demos... I love those three songs so much and I am sure the new forthcomin' album will be great!
<font size="4" face="Arial">but if someone bought this and lets say made a cdr copy of it for me then there would be 201 in existence. then i make a copy for two of my friends, now there is 203 in existence. AND then i could make a mass run of CDR copies and put them on Ebay as rare 'original' copies of King of the World, hard to find, only 200 ever released, and charge double of what TB was charging because of course, they are rare and out of print.Quote:

i think somewhere it should be listed as a cdr like maybe "King Of The World - cdR EP 3 song sampler" so when some fan dishes out $10 for this they know what to expect. If this sampler is just to gain interest in the full lenght coming out, give it away for the cost of shipping. hell, it's only a cdr. Last i checked they were FAR most places.
If a band like Kiss, Slipknot, or Limp Bizkit did something like this I am sure no one would be sticking up for them.
I agree with Bill here, if your gonna send out CDR's then do it as a sampler for a minimal charge, especially when the music on the CDR is pretty poor anyways! Tigerfeet WTF!
Guess they needed to knock up some merch in a hurry for the shows, and didn't shift them all.
The inlay for KOTW is a glossy little 4-photo fold-out thingy, but the disc is definitely cdr. No expense spared on cd labeling.
Mine was a CD-r.
After listening to it I wish it was blank.
Then I could burn something I would listen to more than once.
Not a memorable song on the disc in my opinion.
Me all the contrary... I put repeat and play those 3 songs again and again I cannot get tired of them I love them and they promise a great forthcomin' album. KOTW Demo-CDS is sucha a precious jewel in my discography and more it will be the full lenght album when it comes...
