Pretty impressive stuff. I'm no drummer but was he using the back of his drum stick at one point on the snare?

I scoped it out. It's big in Speed Metal. It's called a gravity blast. The back end of the stick rocks on the rim of the drum. I'll have to try this.
Here's a good slow to fast of how it's done.

I've seen a lot of awesome drummers over the years. But this is awe inspiring in the speed and proficiency that this guy displays. His snare single stroke triplets or whatever the hell he's doing made my jaw hit the floor.
It's not glam by any stretch, but you'll appreciate the skill this guy has.

Here's another for y'all. You would think this guy would realise that given the colour of the baby, there is just the slightest, remotest chance it just might not be his.

<font size="4" face="Arial">Actually the whole style is "Blast". It's a whole different way of life those guys are leading basically, with speed being all that they are after. My buddy, who does drums for me, is from this world to a degree. He's by far the best drummer I know of. But anyways, he has shown me this guy, and everybody pretty much agree Derek Roddy is the best. He has instructional style vids on his site:Quote:
