He had been director of the CIA for 7 years.

Someone has to take the fall for the intelligence fuckups. Tenet, as head of the CIA, was the natural fall guy to protect the Prez.

Tenet, however, really did screw the pooch with this whole Chalabi fiasco. I don't think he was responsible for not predicting 9/11 though.

But Pina are you pleased with John Kerry as the Democratic nominee? Whether you like President Bush or not, Kerry hardly seems a better choice. Joe Liebermann would have been a far better candidate. I think Kerry has all of the indecisiveness of Jimmy Carter with the moral bankruptcy of Bill Clinton. What a winning combination...

Regardless, the purge has begun.

I suspect even if Gee-Dub wins this November, a lot of his cabinet appointees will not return. I am almost certain Powell will not. Unfortunately Powell is who Shrub needs the most....not that he listens to him. [img]graemlins/whatever.gif[/img]

I'm wondering how long it will be before dubya starts cutting his losses and sacrificing some of his inner circle.

Powell will probably be next. He's just a token lap dog anyway and I understand Cheney hates him.
