I managed to find a small stash of Altec 9025 passive 600 ohm crossvers. I have a pair of the 500 cycle versions, a single 500 cycle and a single 800 cycle.
Apparently they're 12db/octave rolloff. I read a rumor somewhere that there's some other correction (but I don't believe it). They seem like a really nice way to crossover - if you can drive 600 ohms in your systme, just hook up two amps and get rid of those pesky level matching problems from Altec's crossovers.
Has anyone else used these? What are your experiences with them? Do you like them?
Anyone need a single 500 or 800 cycle or would like to swap to pair them up?

I used those back when they were current. They work quite well. If you use a hi-z amp on the output, slug 600 ohm resistors across the output of the crossover so they see 600 ohms.
Most audio preamp type devices thes days are lo-z out anyway, so the input normally is not a problem.
