Jimmy Smith - Root Down (live)
Stanley Clarke - School Days (Gadd, Cobham and Gerry Brown in one CD!...ohhh yeah!)
Roy Hargrove - Hard Groove (does exactely what it says on the tin!)
Tears for Fears - The Seeds of love (some AMAZING drummers on here - Phill Collins, Manu Katche, Simon Phillips)

James Brown- Love Power Peace Live at Olympia Paris, 1971
Tower of Power- Back To Oakland (this one influences me greatly as well, Quadruple)
Jill Scott- Experience 826+
The Roots- Do You Want More?!!!??!
Earth Wind & Fire- I Am
Dave Weckl Band- Live (and very plugged in)

Indeed man! You can't go wrong with the original JB's lineup. Bootsy, Jabo, Fred Wesley, Catfish Collins, just non-stop craziness from the first track to the last. I highly recommend it to anyone who doesn't have it already.
Alright, I have to add Soulive's album "Doin' Something" to my list. Another one that comes highly recommended by me. Fred Wesley does horn arrangements on it, which gives it an old-school JB's flavor. Very tasty stuff, and their drummer, Alan Evans, is an absolute monster.
