6 Faces of Madness review

Mctoys loves to do daring things, pushing the envelope, both in terms of style and sculpt, and in terms of social norms. The newest line of Monsters, the 6 Faces of Madness, manages to raise the bar in both areas.

I have three of the six so far - Billy the Kid, Vlad the Impaler, and Rasputin - so those are the three I'll be reviewing today. I love Billy, but anyone that knows me should have known that would be true. I'm not a fan of the sadistic pose of Vlad, so he takes a hit on my overall because of it, and I'm getting more than a little tired of the 'hooks in my body' cliche that Rasputin suffers. But there's no denying the overall amazing quality of the sculpting and paint ops on this series.

I'm just curious to know as to why you only did 3 figures from this line. When will we be able to read about the other 3?

Nice reviews...again Michael! So what's the deal with Billy the Kid? Is he the main fig or the dude in the coffin?

He's the main fig. There's been a rumor that he's in the coffin, but McToys vehemently denies it.

I just want the dude in the coffin. I don't like the "Billy" figure at all. Maybe I will buy it, and make a custom out of the "Billy", or just burn it. The others look pretty cool, but yeah, too unauthentic for me. I like my figures based on historical persons, to look like the historical persons. Thank you Sideshow!

That being said, I will probably pick up the Bathory figure, because although she isn't authentic, and she never REALLY bathed in blood, I just can't resist a naked chick in a sea of blood!
